We’re all carrying something: grief, joy, longing, hope. Music is how I carry it with you. I write for people who want more than just a beat. People who hear
a lyric and say, “That’s exactly how I feel, but I didn’t know how to say it.”

Every artist has a story. Mine starts in a living room in Milwaukee, Wisconsin — guitar in hand, trying to make sense of the world with nothing but six strings and a melody. Over the years the venues got bigger, and the collaborations grew, but the reason I make music has always stayed the same: I believe songs can do more than entertain. They can heal. They can connect. They can remind us that we’re not alone.

I didn’t come up through talent shows or flashy record deals. I came up through real life: late-night gigs, honest conversations, heartbreaks, triumphs, and all those quiet in-between moments that don’t make the highlight reel but shape you anyway.

I was heavily influenced by artists like the Beatles, The Who, and Supertramp. I’ve always been drawn to music that tells the truth; not just catchy hooks but lyrics that dig deep. That’s what I’ve aimed for… songs that carry weight and connect.

Why I Make Music

My mission is simple. Music has the power
to heal, unite, and inspire. Every song I write
carries that intention.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of performing with artists I’ve looked up to for decades… Alan Parsons, Kenny Loggins, and Michael McDonald among them. These weren’t just surreal moments; they were affirmations that you don’t have to be famous to make music that matters. You just have to be real.

These days I perform across Southern California in several bands and with my co-collaborator George Friedenthal. I am also proud to have served as the music director for the Ventura, California, chapter
of Chick Singer Night, a national showcase that supports and celebrates female vocalists.
